Based in Clayton, California, the Clayton Business and Community Association (CBCA) was formed in 1984. The goal of the CBCA is to promote the general welfare, prosperity and common good of the entire Clayton community.
By producing several annual events in the city of Clayton, the CBCA is able to raise money with all profits being donated back to the community. These events include The Clayton Art & Wine Festival, the BBQ Cook Off, and the Clayton Oktoberfest.
In 2014, the Ipsen Family Bocce Park opened and the Clayton Bocce league was formed. Operations and management of Clayton Bocce is handled by the CBCA.
At the start of 2017, I joined the CBCA with the intention of helping to promote and increase awareness of the organization and their events. In October 2017, I presented the idea of forming a Marketing Committee that would help streamline and bring consistency to our marketing efforts. The board approved my idea and made me chair of the committee.
In addition to handling social media for the CBCA, I produced an informational brochure and work with the IT team to redesign the website. Like the Concerts in The Grove, this is a community organization that I volunteer and donate my time to serve.
