On June 19, we will be flying from San Francisco to Toronto (YYZ for you Rush fans) changing planes and flying to Barbados. Once in Barbados we will catch a flight to Union Island where we will hop on a yacht. The yacht will take us to Petit St. Vincent, a very tiny island located just above Grenada in the Caribbean.
All of this travel will be done in one day but that's alright because we will have 7 days of peace and relaxation. There are no shops, cars, phones or even televisions on this island. As a matter of fact there are only three walls on the cottages so no air conditioners as well. There are only 22 cottages on the island and it is just a two mile stroll around the island on the beautiful white sand beaches. To help us get reaquainted with civilization we will fly into Philadelphia and head up to our favorite little town in the U.S., New Hope. New Hope is a very liberal artsy town located on the Delaware River, just minutes north of where Washington crossed the Delaware to fight the British army in Princeton, N.J. We will be spending three nights in New Hope at the Logan Inn built in 1722.
Fun fact: The New Hope area has been rumored to be haunted by a number of ghosts. So many, in fact, that it has been named “America’s Most Haunted Town.” The Logan Inn also has a reputation for being haunted; in fact, so much so that the place has four ghosts.
